Certifications, standards and factory testing
Every set is rated, built and tested against the standards listed on this page, and the documents set out below are issued with the machine. Engine and alternator documentation is provided on request with any quotation.

Factory testing
What is tested before a set ships
- Insulation resistance and continuity checks on the alternator and the main circuits.
- Protection and shutdown tests: low oil pressure, high coolant temperature, overspeed, and low fuel level where a level sender is fitted.
- Control panel functions, including automatic mains failure, the start and transfer sequence, cool-down and return, alarms and the event log.
- Load bank test at the agreed rating and duty, with fuel consumption recorded at the test load.
- Noise measurement at 7 m for canopy and containerised builds where a dB(A) figure is quoted.
- Run-in and final inspection, with a photographic record of the finished set kept on file.
Witnessed testing is available on request. Tell us when the order is placed so that the test slot can be booked alongside production.
Documentation
Documents supplied with every set

Manuals are issued in English. Arabic or Chinese versions of the operation and maintenance manual are available on request.
Engine and alternator documents
Manufacturer documentation for the fitted components
The engine and the alternator are each supplied with the manufacturer documentation for the model fitted, which normally includes the type test report and the declaration of conformity. These are provided on request with the quotation for your enquiry, so that you receive the documents for the exact build you are buying rather than a generic set.
Where a project specification calls for a document that is not part of the standard package – an emission certificate for a particular jurisdiction, a marine class approval or a third-party witness – tell us at the enquiry stage. It changes the build, the documentation schedule and the lead time, and it is far cheaper to plan than to add later.
Can you send the documents for the engine and alternator you are proposing?
Yes. Once the rating and the duty are fixed, the quotation names the engine and alternator model, and the manufacturer documentation for those exact models is provided on request. If the model changes during negotiation, the documents are reissued for the final selection.
Do the sets come with an emission certificate?
Emission requirements differ by jurisdiction and by engine model, and some markets accept the engine manufacturer declaration while others require a specific approval. Tell us the destination country and the intended use at the enquiry stage and we will confirm which document applies to the model proposed.
What should be checked when the set is handed over?
Check the rating plate against the datasheet, the serial numbers against the test report, and the packing list against what was unloaded. The factory test report, the wiring diagram and the operation and maintenance manual are issued with the set; if any of them is missing from the delivery, tell us within the first week so that it can be reissued against the build record.
